Here is the recipe of Senagapappu vadalu: Chana dal(senagapappu or bengal gram dal) - 2 cups Green chillies - 6 Ginger - 2 inch piece Onion - 1/2 Curry leaves - few Salt - to taste
Soak the chanadal overnight. Chop onions. Grind 1 3/4 cup of soaked chana dal, ginger, green chillies coarsely(don't make fine paste) without adding too much water. Now add chopped onions, remaining chana dal, salt, chopped curry leaves and mix well. Make vadas and deep fry in oil. Enjoy.
