hello soumya

Preponing periods are only possible in case of any natural disorder or due to excessive stress. If you are keen on preponing periods than eating papaya can be helpful. It is believed that eating lots of papaya can also help you get your periods early than the actual expected date. Anything that is warm to your body can help prepone periods. Ajwain (also known as carom, ajowan, methi (fenugreek seeds) can also help in preponing periods.I am not sure but some do say that applying henna or washing your hair few days before the expected periods, can also pre-pone your menstrual cycle. You can even go for some renowned over the counter pills that are used for delaying the menstrual cycle so that you don't get periods when you don't want them. There are no specific pills that can help you prepone your menstrual cycle or periods. In any means, these pills are always harmful because you are altering the normal menstrual cycle which further hampers the activity of hormonal secretion.

Your case is not of just pre-poning a period, It has already been due for 2 weeks. whether you were on birth control? Are you sure that you are not sexually active during these 1 and a half month, any chance of conceiving? How can you say about pre-poning when your periods are already been late by 2 weeks. The reality of it is that there are many factors that can cause a delay in your period, but none of them are a surefire thing, you shouldn't do them on purpose, and your cycle is YOUR cycle and when you do things to purposefully change your cycle it can result in complications. No two women are the same. Don't try to make your periods come less often, though, without talking to a doctor. If there is no chance of pregnancy then test for underactive thyroid which can cause delayed periods, other wise You're probably just really stressed. If you can remember back far enough, do you remember any stress around the time you were due to ovulate: travel, house guests, something scary, etc. That can certainly delay ovulation. But, really do you konw for sure that you're ovulating? seek the help of a gynecologist for proper guidance and confirm whatever causing for delay.

In my many years of having my periods, none of the natural tricks for making them come ever worked for me. And they always seem to become irregular just in time for special events. I'm sorry. Two things that did bring them were drinking red raspberry leaf tea and doing twisting yoga poses, but I can never know now whether it would have come anyway at those times or it came because of these things.

I haven't found any foods to do it sadly. I guess maybe if you take some hormonal tabs you can probably skip it entirely this month or just see very mild spotting-- maybe consult your doc if you want to go that route to make sure you're not harming your reproductive system.

Anyway to me it sounds like you might be skipping your periods entirely this month since they haven't come yet, so I'd recommend taking a pregnancy test if you could be pregnant, and if not just expecting not to get them until your next scheduled date.

Good luck.

Dear friend, Since u didn't have periods there can be a lot of reasons for this. The important ones are pregnancy, fear, anxiety, emotions, hormonal disturbances. I will advice u to have USG of the uterus & adnexa to knoe if u are pregnant or to rule out any other pathology. Also advice to get the blood hormone test so that hormonal disturbances if any can be found out. You should consult your O& G doctor before trying any self medications if the period doen't start by self. thank you!

Hi! Soumya, Considering your present state it is not advisable to prepone ur menses as u were due on 1st March and its nearly fortnight passed for u to have menses. This all depends on if your previous menstrual cycles were regular. If they were regular and u had unprotected sex then chances of you being pregnant are high so better consult a Gynaec for the same and get investigated. Bcos if ur pregnant and if you try taking hormonal pills for commencing the menses then it can cause harm to the fetus. So in either case it is always better to get consulted by a Gynaec and get investigated for pregnancy or any organic lesion. She will evaluate this and if everything is fine and if ur not preg then Gynaec will prescribe u the hormaonal pills for starting the menses. Hope this helps to solve ur problem. Good Luck.

Hi Sowmiya,

If you want a natural/herbal way to prepone have lots of jack fruit, sesame seeds and papayas. If you need a drug to prepone your periods, but consult your doctor before taking it. Primolut-N 5mg - one tablet 3 times daily, starting 3 days before expected date of menstrual cycle.

Regards.

It is said that eating sesame balls or papaya will prepone your periods. You can also eat fried grams in the early morning in empty stomach for 3-4 days.
