i have a 512 mb mp3 player cum pen drive.....few days before my pendrive affected by a worm(virus)........i formatted my pendrive on computer & i found that virus get deleted but near about 50% of memory also....plz tell me what should i do...?
Install Pen Drive Files Recovery Software 2.0.1.5 to restore lost data, recover formatted or damaged files before you fix and repair your corrupted storage device.Recovers data even if DRIVE NOT FORMATTED message is displayed by your computer while accessing USB removable media in My Computer and usb device volume is not recognized by the system because file system is not detected. Retrieve and restore corrupted files and folders damaged due to human error or any virus generated data loss
I believe formatting should be done only after running some antivirus softwares on the drive and also memory lost while formatting cannot be retrieved. I hope you can make use of the remaining half(256Mb)of memory.
Normally, formatting the pen drive is not required. If you would like to format the pen drive, please use the software application that is bundled with the product or check the manufacturer's Web site. Never format pen drives using Windows XP operating system format. Please refer to your pen drive user guide before formatting. If you are unable to find disk tool, try HP's freeware tool, HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool (1.9MB) at url, http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/f….
Once you install this tool, this can be accessed through start - Programs - Hewlett-Packard Company - HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool. Under Device drop down list, please select the USB flash drive and select "FAT" as the file system, then click "Start" button to format the pen drive.
