As women, our bodies go through a monthly cycle. Being able to observe these changes, and know what our body does, is empowering. You should not be concerned that every change in your body is a medical problem-- YOU are an expert on your body.
My advice: why weigh yourself at all? Your weight is a delicate balance of fluid retention (monthly weight gain is just water, nothing else!), muscle, food in the digestive cycle, fat, bones... frankly, I believe nobody needs to weigh themselves to know whether or not they are fat or thin, healthy or not.
So step off the scale and trust your intuition. You are just fine. If you feel uncomfortable or bloated, I recommend drinking lots of water, limiting sodium intake, exercising, and eating plenty of fiber. You can also take herbs like dong quai, raspberry leaf, and dandelion, which reduce water retention and help balance your monthly cycles.

I guess you are feeling heavy and the body swelling during your periods. This is temporary and will easy out after your cycle. If you are refering to some other weightgain, please repost with more details, like age, height, weight etc.
You have not mentioned whether you shed those gained weight back. The ovulation period is just 2 or 3 days. So the weight gain during those days will be very meagre. Actually you will feel heavy during the ovulation period..and the weight gain will not harm you. So do not worry if you loose back those pounds you gain.
