Pearl powder is definitely beneficial for inflammation, acne, and scarring. However I think you are doing too much at one time. For example, if you are using besan/honey facepack, you can do that several days a week, kumkumadhi thailam several days, and pearl powder several days. Or you could try doing just one for several weeks, see which regimen your skin improves most on. Sometimes we overload our skin with too many things and it gets irritated. If your skin is getting oily it's probably a reaction against too much stripping it of natural oils by using face packs too much. If you do use both, use the pearl powder after besan face pack!

Pearl powder is very good, though. To make a mask, you can mix one teaspoon pearl powder with enough olive oil to form a thin paste. Apply to clean, dry skin; then, after 10 minutes rinse off with warm water. Another option is a mix of pearl powder and milk and beaten egg, believed to have anti-aging effects. This pearl powder can also be used on its own, applying it on the face before sleep and removing it the next day.

Use kumkumadi thailam it self alone. Don't mix it with any thing. You have to use it a long time. It is Kumkumadi thailam's nature that you see a little darkness on the face. But later it gives best results. The only thing needed is patience.Use milk or tomato or orange juice with besan. Apply pearl powder alone.I think better not to use everything on a face, it could be hard for it and will make things worst.

So you can either use pearl powder alone or kumkumathi thailam alone without mixing with each other.

Hello Sumi!

Pearl powder & kumkumadhi thailam are good for skin, especially scars. Besan with honey and lemon also makes wonders in making scars disappear. But my personal suggestion is that you should use anyone of them only that suits you. No need to use all three of them.

Hope this info helps! Good Luck!

Sumi,

Please avoid mixing pearl powder with the thailam. The enzymes in the pearl powder can react with the thailam. When applied to the face, this can cause subtle burns. This is unadvisable
