Dear Nakib, Sukumaram Kashayam is the ancient ayurvedic formulation made by great Ayurvedic Physicians and still it's used in Ayurvedic treatment when women generally fail to conceive due to raktagula (lack of blood or blood flow) and vaginal disorders. Helps in discomfort and unpleasant symptoms associated with your menstrual cycle and pregnancy. It’s very effective to open the obstruction of female urogenital system. Whereas Saptasaram Kashayam/ Tablet/ Qwath tablet are highly effective in different conditions with proper adjuvants and indicated in indigestion, constipation, abdominal distention, menstrual disorders and splenomegaly. Adjuvants used are jaggery, pippali powder, saindhavam and hingu powder. Since you are having irregular painful period (menstrual disorder) you can use Saptasaram Kashayam instead of Sukumaran Kashayam. Still if you have doubt you can send your query to http://health.sify.com/ayurveda-qa-… for which one Dr.Shri Gowthaman, Medical Director will answer.

Never use any medicines without proper prescription, you should consult your doctor if you could substitute the medicine for the original one prescribed by him.
