I would say you might need in total atleast 30 GB of hard disk.
7 GB for OS, common programs (PDF reader, winzip etc) - Win XP/Win 2000 22 GB for SAP Netweaver ABAP version during installation.

Dont try to install it on your personal computer, it will slowdown your system like anything. SAP products need servers for its working. And a PC can hardly meet any of the required criteria.
