The release of the latest smart-phones have provided the perfect interface for the Ask Agent technology -- and this allows a whole new range of products with amazing capabilities, unlike anything seen before.

Like all exciting new technologies, AnswerPod changes the world. Our first application, "Answer Plant," allows users to quickly and easily know what plants exist around them -- not just the correct name of the plant, or how best to care for the plant, but whether, for example, the plant is native or noxious (the application allows for GPS location). Not only does AnswerPod make it easy for users to better understand their environment, but as the great American biologist, E.O. Wilson, has emphasized over his lifetime of work, our understanding of the biodiversity around us is critical for its protection.

The idea behind the "What Plant" application came from an 11-year-old girl (a daughter of one of the founders) who thought, "Wouldn't it be great if our cell phones could photograph plants, or insects or animals, and tell us all about them." With our Ask Agent technology, such applications become a reality. Whether they be entertaining programs such as the "Answer Palm" palm reader (a party trick, or conversation starter), or specialist programs for health workers, designers, career coaches and so forth, the AnswerPod provides an easy platform to deliver the solution.

In fact, there are so many ways to integrate this technology into the marketplace that we've decided to release a simple API which anyone can use. We will provide more information about this soon.
